Just keep spinning, spinning, spinning!

Chilly, but very sunny day today.
Had way too much fun yesterday:
Celebration lunch with K....hooo boy!
Way too much good food,
Way too much laughter,
a nap in between,
Closed down Aladdins with the church ladies,
with more laughter and growing friendships!

So today I am spinning.
Miles and miles of Polworth wool roving
auto wrapped with shiny multicolored thread.
First time trying this and so far, I love it.
Maybe a pair of socks
or a lightweight sweater for Spring.

Earlier in the week I spun some singles with trash batts
made from left overs off of the carder,
and singles of the same above mentioned Polworth.
Then auto wrapped with thread
while plying the two together.
I like the barber shop ply.
Looking forward to knitting that up too!

Inspired

I am inspired today.
A  great workout at the gym...
oh how I hate the gym!
My care team will be giving out cookies at church
March 18th, so I am busily planning that event!
Yummy soups for the stuffing party before the give out.

I am reading inspiring blogs about
rug hooking, spring, writers, and wool!
I have been spinning some lovely core spun yarn.

The sun is shining and we are again having some unusual weather.
High temps, thunderstorms, chilly days.
I am eagerly awaiting gardening days,
and already have to transplant some plants
that have bloomed beyond their pots.

Chuck and I are enjoying every bit!
Just feeling very blessed today!
Hope you are too.

Inspired again!

It has been since before Christmas
since I have sat at the spinning wheel!
I have been doing A LOT of knitting....
presents for the grandbabies,
(funny looking over a chair...
but it fits my granddaughter perfectly!)

hats,
hoodie for chuck,
a toe sock when I broke my toe,
socks for Hil...
(that I may have to claim for myself...
as they are only 5 inches from the toe until complete
and really really cute!)
and lots of baby prop items.
Hopefully will show a photographer or two
some of my work to use in infant photos.
Very fun.

But I must say that I have been very restless the past few days,
and actually BORED!
Went over to  BN today for a cuppa and a peek at a few magazines.
I was gloriously inspired to drag the ol wheel out again.
It really has been some time.
I cleaned all the moving parts,
had to tighten a few loose ones,
and have discovered that I need to get my muscle memory back.
I have plied three skeins of icelandic that I had been working on,
now, I wonder what I will spin.
I have tons more icelandic for a sweater....
yes, the one I wanted to make for my dad.....
but I also am inspired to try something more colorful and wild.
Maybe I'll try some wrapping,
I have such beautiful fiber ready to use, since cleaning my space!
Round and round and round  I go....!
Blessed to be able to create.
Thanks honey!
